Priorities

Interesting comment from an old devotional I’m trying to catch up on and finish off: don’t be a game day Christian.  Don’t show up once a week full of praise, while ignoring God and playing by your own rules all week long.  This is your way of putting your game plan ahead of God’s while expecting Him to provide all the blessings needed to assure your existence and success all week long.  There’s a falsehood to this approach, or maybe it’s hypocritical.  Whichever, it’s sinful.

Reminds me that I need to keep God at the forefront of my activity all week. And I need to live the way the Bible commands. And I need to speak to Him and read His word daily.
